Tornadoes Strike Outlying Burbs
By Scott • Jun 8th, 2008 • Category: News
Yesterday saw a tornado outbreak happen across the outlying Chicagoland area. Touchdowns were reported in Wilmington, Frankfort, Peotone and Mundeline. No serious injuries were reported, however there was quite a bit of property damage.
I was sitting at US Cellular Field when the storms came through, and although the sky was ominous it really didn’t seem all that bad from where I was sitting. I am sure those near the tornadoes would beg to differ. I hear more storms are on the way for today.
