Overnight Watch - 4.04.08

Apr 4th, 2008 | By Scott | Category: Overnight Watch

As I sit down to write the overnight watch, I can’t help but notice those little drops of rain on the window. Will nice weather arrive please? Sometime soon? No time like the present, mother nature.

There really isn’t a whole lot going on so far today. Been a pretty quite news night.

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local&id=6060777- The new $42 Million contruction project on the Edens starts today, with lane closures and traffic abound. I am glad I don’t take the Edens. I already have plenty of contruction on my route.

http://blogs.suntimes.com/derogatis/2008/04/lollapalooza_headliners_confir.html - My least favorite rock critic of all time, Jim Derogatis (if you don’t dislike him, go to American Taxi’s website and listen to the song Paper Covers Rock, it’s about him)  ‘broke’ the story (if by breaking you mean reading the lolla website) of the Lollapalooza headliners. It is a strong bunch, Radiohead, Kayne West, Wilco, Rage Against the Machine,  and NIN round out some of the bigger acts.

http://www.nbc5.com/politics/15788187/detail.html?dl=headlineclick - Yeah, yeah. I’m sick of the Rezko trial too. Here is the boring update.

Cubs win. Woody got his first save, Dempster wins his first start in 3 years. Sox get the win, Crede and Uribe go deep. Danks dealing. Bulls win a meaningless game, Gordon dropping 24 on 7-11 shooting.

That’s all I see right now.
